Making Memories

This past week has been a bit of a whirlwind, but when are they not? This Momma, still fighting an uber obnoxious summer cold recieved blessing after blessing. Officially I guess you would say that my friends recieved blessings, in the form of tiny little hands and feet bundled tightly in baby blue blankets, but when my friends are blessed, I feel blessed. Within twenty-four hours of each other, two of the most important people in my life became Mommies. Congratulations Lindsay and Amanda. Welcome to the club!
Weekends are for rest…really?!? If it seems as though our door is revolving, that’s because it is. And we wouldn’t have it any other way. Friday brought with it a visit from my aunt Leslie and two of her three crazy kids. Aaron and I enjoyed the company and  Harper enjoyed her time with the mounds of electronic devices that teenagers these days travel with. She was teaching them things about the iPad that they had yet to discover. It was purely accidental…or perhaps my child is a genius?

Sunday WAS a day of rest…and Harper’s first pedicure.

We drank in every ounce of our extended weekend by celebrating the Fourth of July with our friends that may as well be family, The Newton’s. We celebrated the holiday like any red-blooded American, by converting our backyard into a Water Wonderland for toddlers. That is what everyone else did….right???

We grilled, we ate, we sweat…ALOT, we laughed, and most importantly we made memories. LOVING LIFE.
