Missing In Action
Oh wow! It’s been to long and I feel a tinge of guilt, but I promise I have a good excuse- her name is Aniston Paige Barnett. And she has filled our days with even more love, and even more joy, and even more laughter, which I doubted was even possible. But this little love bug here has proven me wrong.
In one of my last posts I mentioned that Aaron and I were expecting another sassy little girl. Well…she is here! Not to be outdone by big sister, Aniston opted for a somewhat surprising arrival of her own. I was scheduled for a repeat cesarean on Valentine’s Day. At around 7pm on the 11th while shopping at Target with Harper for some last minute items before delivering I started feeling ill. At 1am on Sunday morning I was in labor and delivery for severe dehydration after hours of swearing that I was going to die if I didn’t stop vomiting. I was released to go home at 6am just to turn right back around. Because at 1pm, just 7 hours later I was in labor. Aniston was born on Feb. 12 at 6:07pm. She weighed 7lb10oz and was 21in. Yep, we grow ’em long!
And our lives were forever changed…Again!
The last three months have been somewhat of a blur. Nighttime feedings, two in diapers (however, Harper has just about mastered this whole potty-training thing), toddler tantrums, doctors visits, work, laundry…all while suffering from a severe case of Mommy-Guilt (yes, it’s a real thing) because all I really want to do is sit on my back porch, girl in each arm, hand-in-hand with the man I love…
This is what my life looks like now…

Gorgeous, huh?!?
I am so un-deserving. I thank God daily for blessing me with the honor and responsibility of having these two call me Mommy.
❤ it!! Your such a great mommy!! 🙂
