Road Trippin’
My heart is breaking today for everyone involved in the CO tragedy. Since becoming a Mom, I take these horrific acts of violence much more personal. I will pray for the victims and their families. And I pray that each of us, directly impacted or not, will take this opportunity to thank God for the blessing of another day. Kiss your babies. Say ‘I love you’. Make a phone call…
While many Mother’s are grieving, I will load up my two amazingly sweet babies and head off on a 4.5 hour road trip to meet ‘Daddy’ in San Antonio for a weekend at Sea World. Thank you God. I am unworthy and eternally grateful.
My husband had been in San Antonio on business since Wednesday, so it has been just the girls. Packing for our adventure alone has been quite the undertaking. One must be super organized when traveling alone with two small children but I think I’ve got my basis covered.
**I like to pack toys and snacks in clear totes so that I can easily find what I am looking for**
TOYS for the drive… CHECK! (strategically placed within Harper’s reach so that Mommy can drive while Baby plays)
SNACKS…CHECK! (I packed a tote full of healthy snacking options and it sits in the passenger seat for easy access)
THREE GIDDY GIRLS…CHECK! CHECK! CHECK!
I would be lying if I said that I wasn’t a tad nervous about a 4.5 hour car ride with two tinies all by myself, but Harper’s excitement alone overshadows any hesitation. I am a very happy Momma!
Bring on the memories!
Have fun! It looks like you are well prepared! I love the snack box! Drive safe!
