Toddler Wisdom
Toddlers are moody. And energetic. And joyous. And unpredictable. And OH-SO-SMART.
Have you ever sat around and watched a toddler explore the world around them? It’s pretty amazing. One of my favorite things to do is to attempt to see the world through the eyes of my 2.5 year old. She reminds me on a daily basis, sometimes even hourly, what life is all about.
Toddler Wisdom
- you can get glad just as quick as you got mad…literally
- it’s okay to look at yourself in the mirror and say, “I’m pretty.”
- when we do something good, we deserve a ‘treat’
- dancing in your panties (in the privacy of your own home) is perfectly acceptable
- kisses really can make it ALL better
- Jesus loves me this I know
- laughter is contagious
- ‘gummies’ are Tha Bomb
- unlike calories, we are all created equal
- reading is fun
- and so is holding hands
- when things get tough, it’s okay to ask for help
- when your sad it’s okay to ask to be held
- please and thank you go a long way
- sing-a-longs are a great pick-me-up
- saying ‘Hi’ to a complete stranger just might make their day
Everything is BIGGER, BRIGHTER, & more BEAUTIFUL through the eyes of a toddler.
What has your toddler taught you about life?
To stop and enjoy the little things, no matter what we are doing. If a dog barks, it’s okay to stop everything and bark back.
