The Best Yet

December 31, 2012. Just like that, another year has come and gone. And not just any year…nope, the best year!

2012 has been chock full of blessings. My Little Harper turned 2 in January, which means in two short weeks she will be 3 (GASP!). She is my miracle baby, and as I tell her everyday, she makes me happy. Aaron also celebrated his birthday in January, just weeks before we welcomed our second daughter into this world. Aniston Paige was born in February and she completes us. I have never in my life felt as whole, as content, as happy as I have felt since giving birth to Aniston. Just to clarify, I was just as happy after giving birth to Harper, but knew even then that God still had the final piece to our puzzle, and that piece was our Happy Face.

2012 has seen me wiser.  Not wise, but wise-er. I’ve learned to not sweat the small stuff. To forgive. I have learned to appreciate the people around me. To count my blessing instead of my money (which takes a heck of a lot more time). I’ve let go of some hurts that I have been harboring for a very long time and as a result have seen some relationship take bloom, relationships that I am very excited about. I have spent 2012 madly in love with my best friend. I have learned to relinquish some control. I have prayed more than ever. I have laughed more than ever. I have cried fewer tears and threw fewer fits…see, I really am growing up.

I am beyond excited to see what 2013 has in store for my little family. We have birthdays coming up. And a trip to Disney World planned for April. I pray for another healthy and happy year. A year that finds me continuing to count my blessings.

Happy New Year!
